This page covers common setup, provider, and authentication problems.

Codex login succeeds but provider verification fails

This usually means Syndicate found a login but could not verify that Codex can run. Common causes:
  • The account does not have Codex execution access.
  • The account hit a plan, quota, or usage limit.
  • A workspace or organization policy blocks Codex.
  • The local Codex CLI is installed but cannot execute from Syndicate.
  • The auth file changed format and Syndicate cannot read it yet.

Terminal output appears during OpenAI/Codex setup

OpenAI/Codex should use browser login and should not rely on Syndicate’s in-app terminal. If stale terminal output appears, reconnect the provider and refresh provider status.

Gemini auth does not finish

Gemini can require an interactive CLI prompt. Keep the auth window open until the browser or terminal flow completes, then return to Syndicate and refresh provider status.

Claude auth is rate limited

Wait a few minutes and try again. If the browser OAuth flow remains blocked, Syndicate may fall back to Claude terminal login.
